David J. Wall is the president and founder of Wall & Associates.   Dave earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from the College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, Illinois in June 1974.  He then went into public service for twenty-years, and recently retired as a senior officer with the police department’s criminal investigations unit.  While serving his community, Dave began to pursue his fascination with financial matters.   He was accepted to the College of Financial Planning and earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation .  Later, he earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation, which is granted by the Investment Management Consultants Association in conjunction with the renowned Wharton School of Business, at the University of Pennsylvania.  Today, he has over a decade of investment management consulting experience.  Dave currently serves on the Illinois Department of Insurance Public Pension Fund Advisory Committee.  He is a former director of the Illinois Public Pension Fund Association (IPPFA), a co-founder of the IPPFA’s Group Trust, and now serves that organization as a featured speaker at its annual training conference for public pension fund trustees.   Truly, Dave is able to bring a unique perspective to the management and administration of any public pension plans.
